About “Surface Feast”: 

We are thrilled to present this exhibition and fundraising auction of artist embellished bowls. In order to both build community and raise money, Overlap Art Space hosted a series of workshops for artists over the past months to share our knowledge about ceramic underglaze. Most participating artists had never worked with ceramic mediums before. The resulting collection of bowls demonstrates an exciting range of surface design techniques and celebrates our artistic community. The artists have generously donated their bowls in order to support both Overlap and the RI Community Food Bank. We are deeply grateful to these artists, and to Bailey O’Brien who helped make the bowls. You will be able to view and bid on the bowls via Instagram @surface.feast starting on Nov 14th.

The Bidding Process:

Please place your bid by stating the amount you are willing to pay as a comment under the bowl that you are interested in buying. If you do not have Instagram you can email admin@overlapartspace.org and we will place a bid for you. Bidding will close at 12pm on 12/12 unless a bid has been placed in the last 5 minutes. We will allow bids to continue until there is a 5 minute pause indicating that the bidders have reached their limit. Once the auction concludes we will contact the highest bidder and send them an invoice.  Bowls can be picked up at Overlap Art Space on Dec. 17th, 18th and 19th between 12 and 4pm, or by appointment. If you need to have the bowl shipped there will be an additional shipping charge calculated and added to your invoice.
